1- Presentation
The Algerian resistance, through its long history of tragedy and glory, is one of the hallmarks of which it would have a stretch in the various resistances and revolutions, as a reference of value, throughout human history. It has been the subject of an exceptional interest from the people and the elites, African, Arab, and even on an international level.
This highlights attention of heroism, which manifested itself in several literary writings, speeches creations, and different perspectives, tried to provide an international value based on historical confusing events characterized by a long period in the Algerian life, politically and religiously, culturally and diplomatically. It was a resistance with its various forms, a dramatic collective action to get rid of colonizer who sought to destroy its components by all available means, from displacement to torture to murder to genocide.
This care has been considered as a vehicle to resist special degrees in terms of processing and vision and attitude, but it remained according to its spread and effects on several fronts. What led to the emergence of several works of fiction, poetry, theater and film and biographies, whether in Algeria or in Arab countries, European and American countries; and also Asia as a whole.
But these important achievements for the image of the Algerian resistance and heroism remained scattered in several distant destinations, sometimes for unknown reasons related to communication, distribution and translation, and sometimes some lax. Hence the necessity for collecting them aims fortify the self-knowledge on the one hand, and to know the ‘other’ on the other..
2- Problematic:
The awareness about what has been written; is an important part of our history that would remain partially known if we will not work on the acquisition and reading what had been done on the Algerian resistance and its specificities. The local representation will not provide sufficiency complete picture of the historical facts about the Algerian tournaments during its long struggle. So bring the other point of view is essential in order to represent the other attitudes and their causes, and then consider consciously our being on a higher level.
It is important to know the position of the other because it is part of self-knowledge from different perspectives, from here the importance of seeking different positions adopted by the other is to avoid a unilateralism which could not build any diversification vision that enriches the knowledge. Thus there are many unknown opinions and writings, despite its seriousness, need to be read and studied. The purpose of our International Forum, in its second edition, is to seek and to attract specialists interested in Algerian affairs, and specifically in the history of resistance and all what had been published in all over the world that focused on this matter. Especially those related to certain literary arts, biographies, articles and trip testimonials.
Whatever these views, different or compatible, they will provide new insightful visions that could light some tendencies which need to be strengthened, without building on some speculations that may
erase the meaning of the context that does not serve the case, or in the light of rationing that is no longer needed after fifty years of independence. What others have written are only facts, even in the ultra-dimensions of a self-offering. It means they are useful and necessary in the contexts.
There are many questions need to be answered and will contribute to a more clarity of vision. Who is the other? His vision? Modes of assimilation? Position? Counter position? Picture implication? Modalities? Source and reference? The fiction and reality? Historical truth and treatment? Archive and resistance? Events? Land? Culture and identity? Constituents? ********? Religion? And the other historical figures? History facing the interpretation? Facts and figures? The Self and the Other? Measurement machines?
If the previous forum had cared, in part, about the Algerian and foreign writings, this edition will be limited to focus on the others and their achievement, regardless the position of the Algerian resistance throughout history, because the opinions of others, no matter how, will contribute to shade the light on some points remained in the darkness .
