I also think man can't live in the moon because it doesn't have special atmosphere like earth.So , in the moon ,the weather conditions are not Appropriate in addition to the absence of gravity .Therefore the temperature is either too hot or too cold..

I think it's better like this

Concerning the word man,it is not used with the article when we refer to man in general

When we say the man we refer to the man the ( opposite ) of woman
