M001 Why invest in Algeria?

Why invest in Algeria?

Algeria is a country booming and many foreign companies settle and develop their activities throughout the country.
The many projects and projects implemented in all sectors (construction, tourism, industry, agribusiness, fishing ,…) require not only technology but also huge capital. The government recognizes the benefits of foreign investment has created a highly proactive policy that offers significant advantages such as:
- Reductions in customs fees for the equipment necessary for the investor. There is no distinction between Algerian and foreign capital (no additional tax) – Exemption from VAT on goods and services related to investment.
- Exemptions for income taxes of the Company, comprehensive income and also the tax on professional activity and that, for a period of ten years.
- Exemption of the transfer for value for all property acquisitions made as part of the investment.
Finally material assistance to investors is possible for the development of the investment project if it is compatible with the interests of the state. This requires contact the National Investment Council, which will study the case. The funds can be released, include the payment of water supply and industrial, food, electricity and gas and some expertise.
Investment in Algeria is growing fast with the support of the Algerian state.
The strengths of the country:
- Low cost of energy products (gas, fuel and electricity): The industrial gas is 22 times cheaper than the European average, electricity is 6 times cheaper;
- The skilled labor and cheap: it costs 10 times cheaper than in France;
- The proximity of Algeria with respect to Europe, encouraging the re******** of energy-intensive industrial activities;
- A country undergoing economic transformation.
No risk
The International North-South Export, comprising several independent experts, has just published a ranking of country risk. The experts of the agency believed that “Algeria is classified in BI with a score of 37 out of 70 for country risk in the short term, in the same category as Morocco and Tunisia. It notes that” the Algeria has a moderate political risk, or 11.6 of 28 and a significant market risk of 28 or 17.6 “. It introduced, as well, including the risks human health risks, terrorism, banditry, mafia, corruption and arbitrariness in the assessment of country risk.

- Les faibles coûts des produits énergétiques (Gaz,carburants et électricité): le gaz industriel est 22 fois moins cher que la moyenne européenne, l’électricité est 6 fois moins chère ;
- La main d’oeuvre qualifiée et bon marché : elle coûte 10 fois moins chère qu’en France ;
- La proximité de l’Algérie vis à vis de l’Europe, encourage les délocalisations d’activités industrielles consommatrices d’énergie ;
- Un pays en pleine métamorphose économique.
Aucun risque
