Narrated from Syedna Anas bin Malik that the Messenger of Allah (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) said: "There is no harm in not being pleased with something (despite it being a good deed) that you see until you observe its end. This is because a person may perform good deeds for a long period of time or for a certain period of time, such that if he were to die while doing them, he would enter Paradise. However, it happens that he changes his routine and starts to perform bad deeds. Similarly, a person may continue to perform bad deeds for a certain period of time, such that if he were to die in that state, he would enter Hell. But then he changes and starts to perform good deeds, and when Allah intends good for a servant, He makes use of him before his death." The companions asked: "O Messenger of Allah, how does He make use of him?" He (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) said: "Allah grants him success in doing good deeds and then causes him to die while doing them."
