The frequency adverbs are:

Always

Never

their positions in the sentence

1-after : am-is-are

- I am always happy
- My father is sometimes angry
- The pupils are usually late

2-between the subject and the verb

- I never smoke cigarettes
- He often watches TV at night

3-after not

- She is not always happy
-We do not usually study on Saturday
-My mother does not often drink lemonade

Yes,the words some and Sam are minimal pairs because their sounds are the same / s/ and / m / but they differ

just in one sound which is the vowel sound.That's why we call them minimal pairs.
