Providing that,provided that and as long as are used to express condition

We can use them instead of if that is to say they are similar to it

Eg:Providing that the weather is good,we will spend the day in the mountains

Eg:He can go out as long as he does his homework

We use the future with the main clause and the present with the subordinate clause

The main clause is the one without providing that,provided that or as long as

The subordinate clause is the one with providing that,provided that,as long as

The lesson of unless

if,unless and if only

If clause

The conditional sentence in english can be seen in terms of three principal types

Type1:If+present=future
The use:we use it to make predictions or talk about actions that may or may not happen
Eg:If it rains,I will stay at home

Type2:If+past simple=would+infinitive
The use:It is used to indicate that the idea is improbable or unreal
Eg:if you invited me to the cinema,I would be very happy
Remark:with the auxiliary to be in type 2 we say if I were not if I was

Type3:If+past perfect=would have+past participle
The use:it's impossible condition
Eg:If they had invited him,he would have come

Unless=If not
Unless is similar to if (I mean there are 3 types
Eg:unless you stop eating,you will be sick =======type1
Eg:unless she was stuck in traffic,she would be here by now======type2
Eg:unless he had given them the money,they would have stolen him======type3

If only is similar to past wish so we use the past perfect
eg:If only I had visited him

It depends on the tense of the sentence

Sometimes past simple,present simple ,future or past continuous

Eg:I will wait with you,until the bus comes

The first part we used the future,then after the time conjunction until the present
You have to bear in mind that we never use the future after these time conjunctions as it's shown in the previous example
