I was expecting a list of dated events that happened to you back in time.
So your diary book includes, at least, "essays", as you mentioned it, on your thoughts
and feelings at certain moments of your life. I find them expressive and thoughtful with
regard to your age back then.
I would add that writing diaries may help one enjoy remembering of the good old days
and escape from his narrow and busy present to feel that he lived long so far, as well as
realize how one progressed in life
