Thought And Creativity In Past And Present day Algeria
Today, the world has changed. Science and technology have advanced while cultivated thought and creativity in Algeria are still in a deep sleep.

A quick look at the history of Algeria shows that the Algerian personality was always influenced by other civilizations as it shows the easy acceptance of the Algerian man to adapt to foreign knowledge and science. This appears clearly in our recent ******** or dialect ,buildings, architecture..etc. The native Algerians were Elamzigh, or the so-called Barber who established the Numidia kingdom. One of its important kings was named Yougharta who was formed by the Romans and influenced by their civilization. His prints were noticed on the public thought during that period. After the Islamic conquests, the Algerian thought changed from top to bottom as individuals started to forget about tribal strifes and started to receive science from the Orient. Then it came a time when Algeria joined the Ottoman Empire, here Algerians started to learn from the Ottoman science and skills, such as building ships. Finally, in came the French colonization which worked to deform the Algerians’ personality and erase their minds. Despite this, there had been minds and thoughts like A.Ibnbadis(who was a leader of thought renaissance) . After Algeria got its independence, revolution were in minds and thoughts as it was the golden age for the country, as Algerians started to get intensive knowledge which still appears in establishments achieved in this period. The second period of independence (as in the last decades) shows the Algerian mind to be just a consumer and a receiver.
