many people can't find any defferance between these items;
1- phrase: is a combination of words which does not contain any verb.
2- a clause; is a combination of words which contains an infinite (non conjugated verb).
3- a sentence; a combination of words which contains finite (conjugated) verbssss.
many people as i said use interchangebly but wrongly the two items sentence and phrase.
SENTENCE doesn't mean phrase in English
and this is what we call the false friends between French and English
